Does the Basic 2.0 have auto-tare or auto-start like the Basic 3.0?
No. The Basic 2.0 uses manual tare and timer start via the front buttons. The auto-tare and auto-start on liquid flow detection are features unique to the Basic 3.0. For most brewers, manual operation is perfectly intuitive once you've used it a couple of times.
